GTLC is historically a trade, agriculture and livelihoods advocacy organisation with specific focus in food and nutrition security policy, gender responsive food and nutrition security budget advocacy, inclusive food market system facilitation and strengthening. GTLC particularly believes that national, sub regional (ECOWAS), and Africa wide trade facilitation and its protection is important in the successful and beneficial implementation of food and nutrition security policies. We believe this will enable growth of agribusiness that benefits livelihoods of women, men and youth small scale producers.
GTLC is committed to evidence-based campaigns that guide inclusive policy and budget implementation. We have therefore created systems and processes to that support the generation of sex disaggregated data, information and knowledge in this regard.
