Our work in food and nutrition security is focused on national agriculture, nutrition and trade policies. We are deeply interested in the role of science, technology and innovation policies and actions that support food and nutrition security. We are concious of the economies of scale and resilience that ECOWAS and Africa wide agriculture and trade frameworks bring to bear on national efforts and therefore support well thought out suregional and Africa wide actions meant to strengthen food and nutrition security. We understand that multistakeholder engagements and joint actions provide the best opportunity to solutions that are inclusive, transformational, compelling, enduring because it enables wider buy-in by government, private sector, civil society and market actors. This is closely related to our work in geneder responsive budgeting that is geared towards influencing public budget decisions in food and nutrition secuirity that are equitable,, transparent and accountable.
